Secarna Pharmaceuticals to Present at Upcoming Scientific Conferences

  • Secarna to present at upcoming OTS Annual Meeting in Denver and SITC Annual Meeting in Phoenix
  • Presentations highlight improved, AI-guided oligonucleotide platform as well as updates on lead program SECN-15

Martinsried (Munich), Germany, October 8, 2026 - Secarna Pharmaceuticals GmbH & Co. KG, a company redefining the discovery and development of best-in-class oligonucleotide therapeutics, will present at the upcoming 22nd Annual Meeting of the Oligonucleotide Therapeutics Society (OTS) and the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) 2026 Annual Meeting. Poster presentations will highlight novel findings expected to enhance the AI-powered prediction of oligonucleotide efficacy and safety by Oligofyer™, Secarna’s bioinformatics screening and selection module within its OligoCreator® platform, thereby supporting the identification and characterization of best-in-class oligonucleotide therapeutics. In addition, the Company will present updates on its lead program in development, SECN-15, an ASO targeting Neuropilin-1 (NRP1), a multifaceted target for cancer therapy.

“We are delighted about the opportunity to present Secarna at two leading scientific conferences this fall. A key factor in successfully identifying promising oligonucleotides as potential drug candidates is the ability to process and analyze large datasets, finding the optimal balance between target knockdown efficacy, specificity, limited pro-inflammatory potential, and tolerability. Our improved, AI-empowered Oligofyer™ module within our OligoCreator® platform provides a unique in silico approach to prioritize oligonucleotide candidates with optimal efficacy and safety profiles by integrating comprehensive sequence analysis with multidimensional prediction algorithms of efficacy and toxicity,” said Konstantin Petropoulos, PhD, CEO of Secarna Pharmaceuticals. “Regarding our lead development program, SECN-15 is the ideal example of a promising therapeutic antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) candidate to overcome treatment resistance through remodeling the tumor microenvironment. We are currently conducting IND-enabling studies backed by preclinical data that support clinical development as monotherapy and in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitors for the treatment of solid tumors.”

About SECN-15
SECN-15 is an antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) program in development, targeting Neuropilin-1 (NRP1), a multifaceted target in oncology with key roles in immunosuppression, tumor vascularization and metastasis. Elevated NRP1 expression correlates with poor prognosis and treatment resistance across multiple solid tumors. By selectively downregulating NRP1, SECN-15 blocks key processes that drive tumor progression and modulates the tumor microenvironment towards enhanced anti-tumor immunity, supporting its potential as monotherapy as well as its ability to improve responses to approved cancer treatments.
SECN-15 has shown encouraging in-vivo efficacy as both monotherapy and in combination with anti-PD-1 checkpoint inhibitors, with translational data supporting human relevance. IND-enabling studies are currently underway to advance SECN-15 into clinical development in 2027 for the treatment of solid tumors.
